It was founded by Alfonso IX in 1218. It is the oldest of the Hispanic universities.
The facade is carved in stone and it has beautiful and interesting symbols. The most known is the frog on the skull.
The legend says that all the students who came to Salamanca have to look for the frog. If they find the frog, they will pass their exams and will have good luck. Nowadays hundreds of tourists loor for it every day.
